'Nizwa South Gate'

Born in England of Scottish, German and English origin, this artist attended St Albans, Watford and West Surrey Art Schools before graduating in 1971. Pursuing one of his main interests he studied landscape design with Peter Coates and John Brooks amongst others before setting up his own company in 1976. He won first prize from the British Association of Landscape Industries in 1980 for a private garden in Hampshire.
Moving to France in 1982 in order to concentrate on painting Simon Fletcher began developing his techniques in water colour and pastel which has resulted in his frequent exhibitions all over Europe, workshops in both disciplines and a growing number of publications including three major books.
The artist visited Oman in January/February 2004 and durig that period has made watercolours on Oman.
