Candian artist Barbara
Mc Givern's qualification: Art's sake, followed by the Toronto
Scool of Art and the Ontario College of art, AOCA, SCA finishing
in 1988.
Her work is defined by a rich exoticism. Evident in the luxurious
hues, opulent gold
and evocative interpretation of the subject matter, Barbara
is an artist who enjoys the formidable challenge of converting
real image into abstract forms.
The size of her work is ambitious as is the detail which she
incorporates into each canvas. The results are vivid, stimulating
and often controversial and are designed to move spectators
and embolden walls, they spark a reaction wherever they are
positioned.
