After
a Foundation Course at Ipswich College of Art and Design, British
artist Paul Wadsworth studied Fine Art at Falmouth College
of Art. After leaving college, the landscape and the sea started
to become a major influence on his paintings.
He started to draw inspiration from travelling in the Middle East
which has naturally fed into his paintings. Oil paint has become
the main medium whilst the experimentation with mixed media continues.
He spends more time in the Middle East as the understanding of contemporary
art develops in the area and more opportunities arise.

Arabesque - Dhow

Saadia
Zaman, after graduating from the University of Karachi, Pakistan,
moved to Canada and then to Dubai where she studied print-making.
Saadia finds inspiration in Islamic calligraphy and the architectural
features of the Middle East. Her work is multi-dimensional, the
immediate impression is one of richness, the shimmer of gold and
silver leafing, the vibrancy of the inks, and tactility of the
exquisite hand-made papers. She frequently uses foils in combination
with different inks, powders, pastels, and acrylics. Her artwork
is a fusion of many techniques such as etching, collographs, and
chine colle.
