After a very successful show in Muscat last year British artist George Lewis returns to Oman in order to evoke a dialogue between man and his environment and in particular to focus Omanis' attention to their special natural heritage. Oman is a rich and diverse landscape that needs to be understood before it disappears. A modern day painter- traveller Lewis uses a number of mediums in order to capture his subject matter: From conventional oil painting and water colors to digital montage and photography he seeks to stimulate a debate on the natural as well as the built environment. Within his works, Lewis reveals his emotions and reactions to the Omani environment using light to seduce his viewer into abroader understanding.

Omani artist Enaam Al Lawati takes inspiration from the ancient Arabic civilizations

to bring her work alive. In her paintings she uses clay to sculpt stamps, depicting

scenes from the live of primitive people, which were related to old civilizations.
